BeeBuzzBoo are a new company that only started up this year. They offer the market a selection of organic baby wear in bright colours. A British Brand, their products are also knitted, dyed and manufactured in Britain. At the moment they are offering long sleeve and short sleeve vests, but hope to expand in the future. Last month I was fortunate to win a set of 3 vests in a raffle, and here are my thoughts.
The vests come in two sets, warm colours and cool colours. I choose the warm colours as I find red and orange very autumnal, so perfect for this time of year. When they arrived I was very impressed with the brightness of the colours. I have since washed them and not noticed any obvious fade in colour and still happy with how bright they are.
I have found the vests ideal for putting under our dungarees and playsuits, and go really well with a lot of our scandi prints. The long sleeves are a good length, and also wider than other brands so look more like a top than a vest which I like. The neck is an envelope style so easy for putting over babies head. I usually prefer buttons/poppers as find some envelope styles get saggy when being worn but haven’t noticed this with these. The vest fits nicely over our cloth bum which is always a bonus in our house.
A set of 3 costs between £21 and £23, which I find reasonable for the quality and that the item is made of organic cotton. The items arrived wrapped and gift boxed, so great for a gift to someone.
I am very impressed with these vests and will be looking at getting myself some more soon. I have already recommend them to many different Facebook groups when people are looking for plain vests for layering up with. Great quality and a good price, plus organic and a UK Brand.
Willem has choose his favourite outfit from this season drop one from Frugi.
I took a risk at getting him the Raincloud Snuggle crawlers as they only go up to 3 to 4 years so I had to hope they came up big, which they do. They are so cozy looking and soft inside. The pattern on the trousers is also an improvement on the older version, in my opinion. As we are having an early autumn these have already been warn several times, including a nice muddy walk, and seem to be holding out very well with washing and general wear.
The Motorbike Campfire Hoody isn’t something I would normally pick for Willlem, however it suits him so well and I love it. It’s a bit big at the moment but that doesn’t bother him. The top itself is thin and more like a t-shirt than a jumper so great for autumn or colder summer days. The motorbike is applique and brings real colour to this ‘grey’ top. It has also washed well, although if like me you don’t iron I would suggest hanging it to dry.
We love the Maxomorra t-shirts, especially for summer. However I haven’t been overly struck with this season prints, except ‘Tigers’. Willem loved his new top and when it arrived insisted on wearing it straight away. I also have the dress out away for Persephonie and hope to find a bigger size top for Roran. This will mean that bump will also need something from this print 🙂
The quality of these single print tops are great and we have never had any shrinkage. The colours are bright and help the children stand out when we are out and somewhere busy.As always Maxomorra clothes are organic and GOTS certificated, so no nasty against my little one’s skin.
It’s October and there’s a lot of Halloween theme clothes around, but this bat print from Maxomorra is far too cute to save for just for one day. We had a lazy day at home planned, and this outfit is perfect for her. It’s comfy looking and practical. Persphonie spent most of the day climbing on the sofa and onto daddy, as well as dancing to her favourite TV shows. The dress is long sleeved so ideal for the colder weather and is a beautiful colour. As always with Maxomorra it’s not only organic but GOTS certificated.
One of the best things about chilly days is that I get to put the boys in Snugs. I love these trouser they are cozy, they are colourful and they are versatile. These are currently too big for Willem but they roll up perfectly so we can wear them for that bit longer. The top was bought to go with the snugs and is very much loved by Willem. He has a soft touch for crocodiles, I don’t know why, and thinks this one is funny as it is trying to catch the fish. Willem is in that stage between being a toddler and becoming a preschooler, so finding tops that are not to ‘babyish’ yet not to grown up is a challenge. I feel this one does a good job. This outfit combination is defiantly a hit and will be seen quite a few times over this autumn and winter.
Today was just as chilly as yesterday and the long sleeve tops are still out so I let Roran pick one of his new ones to wear. He choose the Piccalilly Fox Top, yet another of my favourites from this year. I love the fact that the the foxes monocle and whiskers are actually embroidery rather than just print. This helps the top feel more grown up but still not to old for almost 5 year old. The colour is great as it is bright enough for me to spot in a crowd, if needed but not to bright for autumn time. Also the mock layer sleeves again adds to that older boy feel.
Autumn has arrived and finally we are getting to wear some of my recent purchases. So get ready for lots of what ‘We Wore’ posts.
Yesterday Willem got to wear one of my favourite tops of this year, the Maxomorra Superboy Tee. This is a UK exclusive to The Natal Family, who have just started stocking this lovely Swedish brand. They only had two of each size available and i was lucky enough to grab one in his size. We had lots of comments asking who the character was on front of the top And Willem happily told them ‘it’s me’. I love the contrast of colours and now looking for something in this print for both Persephonie and Roran.
Today started off very misty and although we could tell it was going to be hot, for the morning school run a jacket was needed. So as it was grey and miserable outside we felt the new Maxomorra Sky hoody was needed to brighten things up. We love the practicality of this jacket as it is quite thin so perfect for those warm early mornings, but still cozy enough to keep the cold out. As usual with Maxomorra it is lovely and bright and got a lot of nice compliments in the playground. Also an added bonus as he vanishes into the sea of school children waiting to go in.

Persphonie finally got to wear her Frugi Summer Playsuit today. It has been sat in her stash box since we got it earlier in the year as it was too big, and still is a bit. However with the warm weather we are having she need something light and cool to keep her comfy. We love this outfit as it gives her the freedom to move and climb, whilst keep her cool. As you can see she was very comfortable and evening got to enjoy and afternoon nap in the garden. Alright for some.
